I wrote this song and "The Constant" outside on my porch, over a bottle of rum and a few cigarettes, hence the title. I actually wrote and demoed both songs the same night. This song's melody is a pretty blatant nod towards our friend Mike in the band "Husband & Wife".

The take that appears on the album was done live at the Exchange with one room mic.
